Activated Filter Media (AFM)
Softener Filter
A softener filter is used to treat water containing high levels of calcium and magnesium, commonly known as “hardness.” This filter works by absorbing calcium (Ca²⁺) and magnesium (Mg²⁺) ions from the water. The filtration media, typically resin with a negative charge, captures these ions through an ion-exchange process. Salt is often used for regeneration and backwashing to maintain the filter’s effectiveness.
Function:
- Reduces the hardness of water by lowering calcium and magnesium levels
Capacity Range Offered:
- Flow Rate Filtration: 0.5 m³/h up to 30 m³/h
The softener filter enhances water quality by preventing scale buildup, ensuring the water is softer and more suitable for everyday use.
